“Bajo un manto de tinieblas, avanzando entre las sombras, se abre paso nuestro camino hacia la eterna oscuridad, este es nuestro día, nuestra guerra es ahora”. Bajo esta consigna emerge “DETEST”, desde los abismos mas profundos del sur de Chile.

En Valdivia, en el invierno del año 2006, inspirado por antiguos actos de culto en la escena Black Metal Nocturnal Givil Warrior comienza a trabajar en composiciones para un proyecto en solitario incluyendo algunos tracks de un antiguo trabajo sepultado años antes.

Durante el invierno del año 2007, luego de reclutar la alineación completa, se formo esta legión llamada DETEST. Durante el mes de junio se graba el primer rehearsal del cual se extrae como tema promocional “Slaugther into the nest of rat” el que rápidamente comienza a esparcir por todo el underground su mensaje de blasfemia, caos, destrucción y muerte.

En septiembre del mismo año se graba el primer demo homónimo producido en forma independiente, en formato CD-R el que incluye 3 temas de Extremo y Brutal Black Metal. Por estos momentos DETEST se encuentra componiendo nuevos himnos para un próximo asalto, esta vez con una producción a nivel profesional.

"Under a mantle of darkness, moving among the shadows, opens step our road to eternal darkness, this is our day, our war is now." Under this slogan emerge "DETEST", from the deepest depths of southern Chile.
